The report warned geopolitical conflicts are increasingly spilling over to China’s economy, domestic activity is increasingly bifurcated, insufficient effective demand is weighing on economic circulation, more firms in some sectors are facing operational difficulties, risk resolution in key areas remains onerous, and employment and livelihood support need strengthening.

The FDA has approved Revolution Medicines' pancreatic cancer drug Daraxonrasib, which will be marketed as Rasonque. The drug is the first therapy targeting one of the disease's key molecular pathogenic mechanisms. A late-stage trial published in May showed Daraxonrasib nearly doubled typical survival in an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer to 13.2 months versus 6.7 months with chemotherapy, the current standard of care.
