China A-share CPO concept continued to rally intraday. Saiwei Electronics hit a 20cm limit-up; Qingshan Paper earlier posted a third consecutive daily limit. Changxin Bochuang and Juguang Technology rose more than 10%; Hengdong Optics, Taichen Photonics, Tianfu Communications, Shijia Photonics and Guangxun Technology advanced over 5%.

Zhengzhou Housing Provident Fund Management Center said it will lower the minimum down payment for housing provident fund loans on existing (resale) homes within Zhengzhou from 30% to 20% for contributing employees. The notice also permits intergenerational co-borrowing: when an applicant’s provident-fund loanable amount is below the family loan ceiling, parents or children who are regular contributors and meet provident-fund loan criteria may join as co-borrowers for owner-occupied home purchases in the city.

Prudential (02378.HK) reported results for the six months ended June 30, 2026. Adjusted pre-tax operating profit rose 9% YoY to $1.812bn; adjusted post-tax operating profit rose 10% to $1.523bn. Adjusted operating EPS was $0.584, up 17%. New business profit increased 8% to $1.384bn, with new business margin up 2 percentage points to 40%. Operating free surplus from insurance and asset management rose 15% to $1.791bn.
