Iran's Supreme National Security Council secretary Rezaei told Qatar's prime
minister on the 27th that Tehran distrusts the US after repeated breaches of
diplomacy and warned that any US 'destructive' action would bring a 'historic
disaster' to US military and economic interests. He said the US must first take
concrete measures to meet Iran's conditions before Iran would reopen the Strait
of Hormuz; Qatar's prime minister said Doha seeks cooperation with Iran given
regional sensitivities.
