SK Hynix is exploring closer cooperation with Japanese flash-memory maker
Kioxia, the company CEO said, but there are no concrete plans for its indirectly
held Kioxia stake. SK Hynix holds a significant indirect stake via a Bain
Capital vehicle; under a prior agreement its voting rights are capped at 15%
without Kioxia consent until 2028. The CEO gave no details on any planned
expansion of US investment. SK Hynix is still evaluating a possible IPO for its
US NAND unit Solidigm; Korean media reported Solidigm is seeking 50–100 trillion
won in pre-IPO financing, but SK Hynix said no decision has been made.
