China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said on the 28th that total mobile phone subscribers stood at 1.847 bln at end-July, of which 1.303 bln were 5G users, or 70.5% of the mobile base. As of end-July, 5G base stations totaled 5.154 mln, a net increase of 316k since the end of last year. Nationwide internet broadband access ports reached 1.27 bln, with FTTH/O ports at 1.23 bln, a net rise of 19.35 mln since the end of last year, accounting for 96.7% of broadband ports.
