Axios: More than 200 mine-like objects were cleared from the Strait of Hormuz main shipping lane. U.S. officials say only 11 were actual sea mines and only a few were properly deployed.

A regular all-cargo service between Chengdu Tianfu and Addis Ababa launched today, operating twice weekly (Mon, Fri) with up to 100 tonnes payload per flight (up to 200 tonnes/week). Inbound cargo will focus on coffee, cut flowers and fresh produce; outbound shipments will emphasize higher‑value goods including new‑energy vehicles, photovoltaic equipment and lithium batteries. Addis Ababa’s hub status allows transshipment to multiple African cities; freight arriving in Chengdu can be distributed into western China and onward via air, road and rail. The route establishes a new aviation logistics corridor linking western China and Africa, expanding scheduled air cargo capacity for perishables and strategic exports.

At the open, China’s main futures contracts were mostly higher. Shanghai crude (SC) led gains, up over 4%; coking coal, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and soybean oil rose about 2%. Coke, ferrosilicon, silver, palladium, propylene, soybean No.2 and Shanghai lead advanced more than 1%. Pulp fell over 1%, while stainless steel (SS), soybean No.1 and Shanghai zinc slipped about 1%.
