In Qusra, six Palestinians installing metal protective mesh on a fourth house
under construction were attacked by Israeli settlers after earlier settler
incidents, including stone-throwing and incendiary attacks. The Israeli military
arrived, fired tear gas into the house — wounding the homeowner — did not remove
the settlers and arrested the six Palestinians; they were later released. Prime
Minister NETANYAHU described the assailants as "a small group of troublemakers,"
saying they had impeded IDF operations and damaged Israel's international
standing.
