Former Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov said on the 28th he has accepted an invitation to serve as an adviser to Italy's defense minister, Guido Crosetto. Fedorov said on social media he will act as Crosetto's defense innovation adviser, assisting on modern warfare technology. He was dismissed by President Zelenskiy last month after six months in office, a move that sparked large protests. Zelenskiy subsequently removed the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Alexander Syrsky. Mid-month Fedorov released a video calling for wartime elections and saying Ukraine faces a governance crisis; Zelenskiy days later said Ukraine is not ready to hold elections in wartime, warning it could risk national disintegration.

Aug. 29 — Kuaishou Technology founder, chairman and CEO Cheng Yixiao said at the 2026 Kuaishou Creators Conference that 75% of the platform’s cold-start traffic goes to creators with fewer than 10,000 followers. He said daily uploads exceed 58 million and creators who have published continuously for more than 10 years now top 17 million.
