Company attributed the turnaround to substantial order growth from new energy and AI-compute sectors and operational improvements.

China's iFlytek will open-source two edge-focused Spark X2.5 models on Sept 1 — 4B and 1.7B parameter versions — both natively supporting up to a 1 million-token context window and enhancing agent, mathematical and general-understanding capabilities for in-car, smart-hardware and IoT edge use cases. On Sept 7 the company will formally release the Spark X2.5 293B-parameter base model with upgraded code-execution and agent capabilities. At its 2026 interim briefing iFlytek said it will unveil a new flagship general model at the 2026 Global 1024 Developer Festival built on domestically produced compute power.
