Indian broadcaster NDTV reports Prime Minister Modi will meet Iranian President Pezeshkian in Bishkek today on the sidelines of the SCO summit. It is their first meeting since the outbreak of the US‑Israel‑Iran war.

On Aug. 30 local time, shootings in Chicago and Trenton, New Jersey, killed three people and wounded 18. Chicago police said a park shooting at about 23:37 on Aug. 29 killed a 35-year-old man and injured nine; they said there may have been multiple shooters and no arrests have been made.
