CHINA'S CPU MAKER HAIGUANG said it and Tencent Cloud's open-source Cube Sandbox project have completed deep joint adaptation and tuning on Haiguang C86 CPUs. The teams implemented full‑stack hardware‑software co‑optimization — from application architecture and microservice chains to Linux kernel scheduling — and said they resolved three key bottlenecks in high‑concurrency MicroVM sandbox scenarios: scheduling jitter, long‑tail latency and cross‑NUMA memory‑access latency. HAIGUANG said the work closes a domestic compute performance shortfall for AI agent sandbox use cases and provides a high‑performance, hardware‑level secure infrastructure option for government, financial and energy sector deployments.

HKMA: July Hong Kong-dollar M2 and M3 each rose 1.0% MoM and were up 5.6% and 5.5% YoY, respectively. Seasonally adjusted Hong Kong-dollar M1 fell 0.5% MoM and was down 0.6% YoY, partly reflecting investment-related activity. Total monetary aggregates (all currencies) M2 and M3 rose 1.1% MoM in July and were both up 10.2% YoY.
