China Index Academy reports top 100 developers' combined sales totaled 2.018 tln yuan in Jan-Aug 2026, with the YoY decline widening 0.3ppt versus Jan-Aug 1–7. The housing market remains in seasonal lull; only core cities are supported by new high-quality project launches, and leading developers' sales declines widened slightly. By company, five developers reached ≥100 bln yuan in Jan-Aug 2026, unchanged YoY; 40 reached ≥10 bln yuan, down 13 YoY.
