TASNIM NEWS reports Iran has raised power-plant diesel stocks to 3.2 billion
liters to prepare for winter demand. The CEO of the Iranian National Refining
and Distribution Company (NIOPDC) said the reserves are intended to substitute
liquid fuel for natural gas during peak winter gas demand and to support
national power generation in cold months. He said power plants consumed about
7–8 million liters of diesel per day in 1H, while non-power sectors consume
roughly 80 million liters per day.
