The UAE foreign ministry condemned an Iranian drone attack, saying the unmanned
aircraft was intercepted by UAE air defences over the country’s territorial
waters. The ministry called the incident a dangerous escalation and a blatant
violation of UAE sovereignty, security and stability that directly endangered
citizens and residents and breached international law and the UN Charter. It
said the UAE will not compromise on national security or sovereignty and
reserves all lawful rights to respond under international law. The ministry said
such attacks are unacceptable on legal and humanitarian grounds, must stop
immediately to ensure full compliance with the ceasefire, and held Iran fully
responsible for the attack and its consequences.
