China Electricity Council said power trading centers organized 4,425.2 TWh of
market trades in Jan–Jul 2026, up 23.4% YoY. Intra‑provincial trades totaled
3,462.6 TWh, of which 2,853.6 TWh were medium‑/long‑term contracts (including
148.1 TWh of intra‑provincial green power and 485.7 TWh via grid‑agent
purchases), 445.2 TWh were spot trades and 163.8 TWh were generation contract
transfers. Inter‑provincial trades amounted to 962.6 TWh, comprising 914.6 TWh
of medium‑/long‑term contracts (including 43.7 TWh of inter‑provincial green
power and 5.47 TWh of cross‑operating‑region trades), 44.6 TWh of spot trades
and 3.34 TWh of contract transfers.
