Three ministries issued the Guidelines on Overseas Competitive Behavior and Compliance Building for the Auto Industry, saying firms may adopt cost-based pricing guided by international market supply and demand and must lawfully manage prices of components and whole vehicles without using pricing to gain unfair competitive advantage or disrupt markets. When setting recommended retail prices in overseas markets, firms should follow host-country laws, market principles and commercial practices, establish clear price tiers by vehicle configuration, and avoid frequent or large price swings that could harm overseas consumers or brand image.
