Volkswagen China said on Sept. 1 the Volkswagen Group has launched a special investigation after receiving a complaint alleging supplier Xingyu Co. pressured large numbers of recent graduates to leave; the probe is ongoing.

Poland increased defense purchases from domestic firms and Central European joint ventures from about 8.0 bln zloty in 2022 to 30.4 bln zloty in 2025, nearly fourfold. Core defense spending is projected at 53.0 bln euros in 2026, roughly 4.7% of GDP, and active and related military personnel exceed 220,000.
