Sept 1 — At a routine briefing the foreign ministry was asked about Finnish president Stubb's remark that Foreign Minister Wang Yi had told him China would not allow Russia to use nuclear weapons in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The ministry said it has already released information on Wang's visit to Finland and reiterated that China's stance on the Ukraine crisis and nuclear-related issues is consistent and clear, and that it will continue to press for peace talks and a political resolution.
