China Securities Association recently issued a notice launching a call for best-practice case submissions on building first-class financial talent teams, outlining five priority areas that cover the full HR chain for securities firms. The areas are: talent recruitment and ecosystem—senior hires, cadre selection, youth development, core staff cultivation and career-path design; specialized talent ladders for key business lines—wealth management, fintech, compliance/risk, research and investment banking, including hiring, retention and team-building innovations; assessment and incentive mechanisms—market-based performance evaluation, long-term incentive and restraint arrangements, and implementation of stable compensation systems; HR digitalization and AI enablement—HR digital platforms and AI applications in recruiting, training and talent assessment; and upgrades to basic HR management practices.
