CHINA'S LI met a US-China Business Council board delegation led by chair McCain
at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Sept. 1. Li said the council has
long promoted bilateral ties and trade and that, with joint effort, China-US
relations remain broadly stable. He cited the May Beijing meeting between Xi and
Trump that produced a series of important understandings and said China is
willing to work with the US, follow the two leaders' strategic guidance,
strengthen dialogue and communication, expand mutually beneficial cooperation,
properly manage differences and push to build a constructive strategic-stability
relationship to secure more pragmatic outcomes.
