South Korean stocks opened sharply lower on Wednesday as continued U.S. and Iranian military strikes lifted oil prices. U.S. major indexes fell overnight. Inflation concerns sparked a government bond sell-off, pushing the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield to its highest level since January last year. In Seoul, most stocks opened down: Samsung Electronics −3.26%, SK Hynix −3.01%, Hyundai Motor −3.87%, Doosan Enerbility −3.32%, Shinsegae Group −6.08%, Samsung Biologics −1.32%.
