Iran said its counterstrike hit multiple U.S. facilities across the Gulf region.
It claimed a large-scale ballistic missile strike on Taytin camp in Jordan
targeting U.S. Marine and quick-reaction forces, killing numerous U.S. personnel
and destroying several facilities and attack helicopters. It said a ballistic
strike on Jordan’s Prince Hassan air base destroyed RQ-4 and MQ-9 drone hangars,
damaged technical infrastructure, killed multiple pilots and technicians, and
set equipment on fire. Iran said combined missile-and-drone attacks struck the
U.S. base in Erbil, Iraq, destroying a maintenance center, equipment warehouses,
a surveillance-balloon guidance system and igniting fuel tanks, with some
personnel killed. It claimed a combined strike on Ali Al-Salim base in Kuwait
hit a U.S. command post and residence, destroyed drone hangars and a deployment
runway, and destroyed several drones with some U.S. fatalities. Iran said a
missile-and-drone attack also targeted the U.S. naval base in Bahrain; results
were unclear.
