At a Sept. 2 regular briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun was
asked about Ukrainian claims that Russia’s airspace has become highly dangerous
and that Kyiv had warned other countries while Chinese carriers continue to use
Russian routes. Guo said dialogue and negotiation are the only viable solution
to the Ukraine crisis and urged all parties to remain calm and restrained and to
work to cool the situation to create conditions for a political settlement.
