Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said China noted the Aug. 31–Sept. 1 G20
finance ministers and central bank governors meeting failed to issue a
communique after differences over global imbalances. China said it deeply
regretted the outcome and urged the G20 — and the US as chair — to follow
principles of consensus, equal participation and objective, balanced
coordination, and to fully respect members' reasonable concerns to help secure
positive results at the 2026 Miami summit.
