In Cairo on Sept. 2, China's President Xi held talks with Egyptian President
Sisi. Xi outlined five priorities: deepen mutual political support and sustain
high-level exchanges; advance mutually beneficial cooperation and align
development strategies to unlock projects in infrastructure, power, agriculture
and telecommunications and expand new cooperation in green energy, electric
vehicles, aerospace, digital economy and modern agricultural technology; broaden
people-to-people exchanges in culture, education, science, health and sports to
increase travel and ties; strengthen security cooperation to combat
transnational crime, deepen anti-corruption cooperation and support each other’s
counter‑terrorism efforts; and step up multilateral coordination at the UN and
BRICS, advance China–Arab and China–Africa cooperation, and oppose
unilateralism.
