EU foreign and security policy high representative Kaja Kallas said on Sept. 1
the EU will step up support for Ukraine and increase its own defence spending.
After an informal meeting of EU defence ministers she said the bloc will
continue providing aid to Ukraine via the Ukraine Support Loan and has so far
supplied €8.37 billion (about $9.7 billion) in defence support, with further
assistance planned.
