Per Reuters, US Energy Secretary Wright said 17 mln barrels of crude transited the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, the highest flow since Iran-related conflict disrupted shipping. That contrasts with preliminary vessel-tracking from Kpler, which showed only five bulk carriers transited on Monday and recorded no oil cargoes. Vessels with transponders turned off would not appear in Kpler’s data. Wright has previously said Hormuz flows exceed ship-tracking firms’ records.
