Shanghai party chief Chen Jining met Export-Import Bank of China chairman Chen
Huaiyu, president Wang Chunying and international participants at the 4th
International Ship Finance Forum. Chen said Shanghai will push the green and
digital transition of shipping, strengthen global allocation of shipping
resources, accelerate development of shipping services and invite more shipping
businesses, projects and institutions to locate in Shanghai. He pledged to
maintain a market-oriented, rule-of-law, international business environment to
support shipping firms’ expansion in the city. Attending firms said they will
further increase investment and operations in Shanghai, focusing on shipbuilding
and high-end shipping services.
