China’s National Medical Products Administration approved Genzyme Corporation’s Class 1 innovative drug rilzabrutinib tablets (trade name Sailizhi) for adults with persistent or chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) who had inadequate response or intolerance to corticosteroids, IVIG or other prior therapies. The approval establishes a new treatment option for this patient population in China.
