At the World Power Battery Conference in Yibin on Sept 3, 2026, Chery Holding
Group chairman Yin Tongyue said the automaker is accelerating electrification
and pursuing a V2GG transition to a green grid to enable distributed energy and
aim for a latecomer advantage. He said Chery’s national manufacturing base now
sources more than 52% of production electricity from green power, with over half
of factory power supplied by solar and wind. Chery has deployed a green
supply‑chain management system that monitors suppliers’ carbon emissions in real
time; greening the full chain is a core target for the company’s 15th Five‑Year
Plan.
