Omdia says supply–demand for small-to-medium LCD display driver ICs is relatively tight. Smartphone display driver ICs, including units used for repair/refurbishment, account for roughly 60% of demand. Since Q1 2026 shipments of branded LCD smartphone display driver ICs have fallen steadily; Omdia cites rising memory costs and expects full-year shipments to decline by double digits, forecasting 458 million units in 2026, down 18% YoY.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent told Fox News that Iran's president and parliament speaker have publicly acknowledged severe economic distress. He said the Iranian currency has collapsed, inf has topped 100%, and the government is unable to pay military salaries.
