Yemen’s foreign minister Afra Zuba held talks with Organization of Islamic
Cooperation Secretary-General Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed on the latest regional
developments and closer cooperation. Zuba said restoring state institutions and
extending government sovereignty across Yemen is essential to prevent Yemeni
territory from being used to threaten neighbors or undermine regional peace and
security. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed reiterated the OIC’s support for the Yemeni
government and for Yemen’s sovereignty, unity, security and stability.
