The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the
Shenzhen Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Bureau issued a 2026–2028
work plan to accelerate high-quality development of the intelligent robotics
industry, prioritizing R&D of core technologies: embodied-intelligence
autonomous toolchains, embodied-intelligence models, humanoid robot bodies and
localization of key components. The plan seeks breakthroughs in
embodied-intelligence motion control and motion-generation technologies via
local research bodies including the Shenzhen Edge‑End Open Intelligence Research
Institute, and will promote creation of a robot joint fund and an AI joint fund
to support frontier basic research and boost original innovation.
