China's most-active futures contracts closed the morning session with more gains
than losses; ferrosilicon hit the daily limit up. PVC and palladium rose over
4%, LPG nearly 3%, soda ash and Shanghai silver climbed above 2%, caustic soda
and coking coal gained about 2%. On the downside, lithium carbonate fell more
than 2%, while PTA, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU) and paraxylene dropped over 1%.
