South Korea's President Lee's approval rating fell to a record low of 40%,
Gallup Korea said Friday, down 2 percentage points from last week. Support among
respondents in their 20s dropped to 25% from 31% week‑on‑week. Housing was the
primary complaint among detractors (23%), with 11% citing the economy and
livelihoods; among supporters 14% cited economy/livelihoods and 13% cited
diplomacy. Facing mounting pressure, Lee announced a broad cabinet reshuffle on
Sunday, replacing several ministers including finance, land, justice and
defense; some dismissed officials said the moves were abrupt.
