Sept 2 — The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the
State Council and the Chinese Academy of Sciences opened a special training
class for central-enterprise talent in deep-sea and deep-earth fields. SASAC
deputy director Tan Zuojun urged SOEs to target sector pain points, deepen
institute–enterprise links leveraging CAS’s organized basic-research strength,
speed cultivation of high-level leaders, push breakthroughs in foundational
technologies, and strengthen industry–academia–research–use coordination to
advance high-quality development of China’s deep-sea and deep-earth industries.
