Jiangxi Hydrological Monitoring Center at 11:26 on the 4th upgraded the
provincial flood alert to yellow. Due to heavy rainfall, the river reach at
Xiajiang County is expected to exceed the warning level by about 0.5m in roughly
4 hours; the Gan River at Ji'an urban section is expected to exceed the warning
level by about 1.8m in roughly 16 hours; Zhangshu urban section is forecast to
see a flood peak of about 15,200 m3/s in roughly 22 hours; Nanchang urban
section is forecast to see a flood peak of about 16,000 m3/s in roughly 28
hours.
