On Sept. 3 Tesla said its Cybercab autonomous vehicle has entered service in Austin, Texas and will be exhibited publicly in Beijing, Shanghai and other Chinese cities from mid-September. Tesla described the displays as product and technology demonstrations and said they do not indicate Cybercab launch, sales in China or arrangements for commercial autonomous ride‑hailing operations there.
