Phison CEO Pan Jiancheng said meetings with two NAND suppliers found both admitting "we don't know how large next year's shortfall will be," indicating continued NAND supply tightness. He said the market question is not whether shortages will occur but which firms can secure more allocation. Pan added AI-driven semiconductor demand is only beginning; TSMC's ongoing AI capacity expansion will raise DRAM and NAND Flash consumption, and AI could absorb semiconductor capacity for two to three decades, so memory makers' capacity additions are unlikely to trigger oversupply within the next one to two years.
