Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and five other municipal departments issued
a Work Implementation Plan to improve home-care service quality and promote
healthy development of the domestic service industry. The plan promotes
digital-intelligent home-care scenarios and calls for accelerating development
of home-service platforms that use big data and AI for user profiling, precision
delivery and follow-up evaluation to enable precise supply-demand matching. It
directs home-service companies to fast-track digital transformation to raise
operational and service efficiency and meet more personalized, diversified
demand. The plan explicitly encourages platforms and related firms to speed R&D
and innovation in elderly-care robots, emotional companion robots, smart
wearable devices and health-monitoring equipment, and to pilot human–machine
collaboration models to better cover elderly and child caregiving needs.
