CITIC Securities research note: 1H2026 combined net profit of sample coal companies rose about 34% YoY, with Q2 up roughly 41% QoQ, indicating significant earnings improvement. Interim dividend activity accelerated; sector cash dividends increased about 28% YoY. The note says tighter safety supervision after a mine accident has cut supply, supporting a higher coal-price midpoint and a likely choppy upward trend in prices over the year.
