During the 15th Five‑Year Plan period, authorities plan to push flexible employees, migrant workers and new‑form workers covered by employee medical insurance to also join maternity insurance, raise prenatal‑check coverage, aim to make inpatient childbirth within policy scope effectively zero out‑of‑pocket for individuals, and expand cross‑region direct settlement of maternity medical expenses.
