Oil rose on Friday as renewed US‑Iran hostilities and rising Middle East tensions pushed market supply concerns higher. Brent is up 7.6% this week and WTI up 10.4%, marking their largest weekly gains since the week of July 20. ANZ raised its near‑term Brent forecast to $95/bl and warned of upside risk should the conflict intensify. Analysts say high inventories have so far absorbed the initial supply shock, but shrinking buffers are making it harder to sustain supply‑demand balance.

The World Bank, in a report titled Building Thailand's Future released at the 2026 Bangkok Business Summit, says Thailand could become a high‑income, innovation‑driven economy by 2037 if it accelerates productivity via technology adoption, innovation, skills upgrading, higher domestic value‑added, more competitive firms and efficient urban planning. The report estimates these reforms could support average annual per‑capita GDP growth of 5.4% to reach high‑income status by 2037 and urges policyma
