Revenue breakdown: securities investment gains (including fair value changes) 113.10 bln yuan, brokerage net income (including trading-seat rentals) 104.14 bln, net interest income 40.51 bln, asset management income 12.14 bln, underwriting and sponsorship 16.13 bln, investment advisory 5.10 bln, financial advisory 2.39 bln. As of June 30 total assets were 17.23 tln yuan, net assets 3.48 tln, net capital 2.59 tln; client settlement and margin balances 4.45 tln yuan; entrusted-managed principal 10.23 tln yuan.

The surprise gain pushed Treasury yields higher and the dollar stronger, reversing a two-day move in which softer yields and a weaker dollar had supported gold. New York December gold futures fell 2.4% to $4,429.50 per troy ounce; silver declined 2.7% to $65.875 per troy ounce.
