G42 was recently permitted to buy advanced AI chips without U.S. licenses until about April 2027; to sustain supplies after that date it would need to alter its corporate structure. Options under consideration include naming a U.S. company as majority shareholder or establishing a new U.S. entity; no final decision has been made, sources said. G42 declined to comment. The company is overseen by an influential royal family member.
