The Serbian Progressive Party’s central committee on the 5th unanimously nominated incumbent President Aleksandar Vučić as its lead candidate on the parliamentary election list and as its candidate for prime minister, and approved the parliamentary slate. Vučić accepted the nomination and said he will resign the presidency after completing imminent state duties and foreign visits and then run in the parliamentary election.
