U.S. Energy Secretary Wright said the Trump administration's priority is to
increase crude and fuel supply rather than restrict U.S. oil exports. He said
officials are considering measures to help consumers but currently favor
maximizing output. Retail diesel hit a record high, with AAA reporting an
average $5.90/gal on Saturday, and Wright called diesel supply "challenging",
citing oil-shipping disruptions and reduced refining capacity from the war
between Iran and Russia, plus drone strikes on Russian refineries and Moscow's
diesel export ban.
