China A-share ChiNext index was up over 2% intraday, the Shenzhen Composite Index rose about 1.3% and the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.27%; more than 3,400 stocks across the two exchanges were trading higher.

This week (Sept. 7-11) 45 public mutual funds opened for subscription. Index products dominated: 20 passive/index funds launched, targeting themes including compute infrastructure, aerospace, robotics, nonferrous metals, grain, healthcare and fintech; three set a 5 billion-unit subscription cap. Active equity launches numbered five. Fixed-income sector saw a cluster of secondary-tier hybrid bond funds from major managers (examples: Yifangda Zhiheng A, Gongyin Tianxiang A, Jianxin Fenghe A, Nanfang Qianyuan Wenjian Tianli A). Year-to-date through Sept. 7, the market has seen 1,210 new funds launched, with total issuance of RMB 772.47 billion.
