Li Auto (02015.HK) said its self-developed battery will be rolled out across its
full lineup. The company said it is entering a sustained R&D phase after its
startup decade and that a 2020 strategy targets full in-house development of
battery cells and chips. Its self-developed battery is already fitted on the L8,
L6 and i8. Q4 plans: initial deliveries of the next‑gen Li MEGA will use CATL 5C
ternary cells but will switch to Li Auto’s in-house 5C ternary cells once
production readiness is achieved. The i9 will convert fully to in-house 5C cells
after production ramps. Li Auto will launch the 2026 i6 in Q4 fitted with its
in-house 5C battery and in-house Mach chip; user reservations open end‑September
and deliveries begin early November.
