Saudi foreign minister Faisal spoke by phone with UK foreign minister Miliband to discuss recent developments in the Middle East and stressed the importance of de‑escalation, the Saudi foreign ministry said. They reviewed bilateral ties and discussed regional and international developments and their implications for security and stability, including strengthening diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions, enhancing international waterway security and ensuring freedom of navigation.
